Doom & Destruction Bludgeon! He’s looking great with this green & yellow deco! The alternate chest plate makes a huge impact differentiating this bot from Tarn. I really like the earlier Bludgeon release, especially for the skull face & traditional colors. But he looks a little too much like Tarn. I regret passing on the awesome upgrade kit. It adds a lot to make him look different. This bot has such a different vibe! Same excellent articulation as Tarn, this guy can pull off any pose! I dig the creepy face-sculpt with the bottom half of his jaw missing. The exposed cables on his chin are wicked! I love the beard of wires & mesh. It looks super awesome!
Conversion is pretty easy & fun. There are some clearance issues transforming the shoulders. The chest plate always pops off for me! Alt-mode is a passable tank with a turret that can rotate 360. I wish that it had actual wheels, but it’s not such a big deal. Overall the tank is fun & the color scheme suits it well. I wasn’t expecting to like this figure so much but I think he’s my favorite Bludgeon!
Doom & Destruction! Rukus! Bot-mode it’s fantastic! A truly innovative remold of Beachcomber. I love the face sculpt and the shoulder mounted weaponry. He is a bit of a weird flesh color. That seems to be as close as they can get to an army tan or light brown. Articulation is great! His wrist rotation is a little blocked by kibble and his ankle pivot is a little high up on the leg. But all things considered I like him!
Conversion is very intuitive and straightforward. I have a lot of trouble with the clearance on the fists and getting the sides of the vehicle to snap together. It always takes me a lot more force than I think should be necessary. Unfortunately, after a lot of transformations, it’s not broken in. Other than that, it’s not too bad.
Alt-Mode is stunning! It looks so similar to the G1 toy, just knocked up a notch! The wheels are fantastic & it rolls super satisfyingly across any surface! The built-in guns really elevate the playability!
