Legacy United Quake

Legacy United Quake! Bot-mode has quite a presence & the Target Masters are rad! Quake’s face sculpt is solid! He’s tall & boxy, & super kibble free. This is an inspired remold of Legacy Skullgrin with just about every single piece of plastic remolded. The only thing they really share are the forearms & general engineering. It’s extremely impressive! Though, it makes me scratch my head & wonder, why would you use the this mold?

Conversion is half & half. The upper half is really intuitive & straightforward. The legs are a mess of panels & clearance steps. It’s really clever & works quite nicely to get all the tread kibble into his legs. But it feels like a hack. Tank mode is pretty adorable but a little funky. The treads are right up against each other with the tank stacked ontop. From the front it looks really silly, like a wide mono-tread.

Unfortunately, the most important part of a toy tank, the turret, is a weird fail here. It looks squashed down & has barely any side to side rotation. It’s really frustrating because if you barely plug the turret on top you can get a full rotation. Why not make it sit a bit higher so it can rotate? Otherwise the only way to rotate it is to point the barrel up. Ruins all the fun. This figure has so many mysteries, completely boggles my mind. In short, Is it good? Kinda. Is it fun? Yes.
