Legacy United Versus 4-Pack
Cliffjumper, Tarantulas, Squeezeplay, Tarn
Legacy United, Prime Universe, Cliffjumper! I really dig this cameo-bot. The robot & vehicle design is pretty iconic. Captured here perfectly with a slight retool of Legacy United Chase. This mold looks fantastic as Cliffjumper! I love the head-sculpt, complete with horns. Proportions are great, articulation is wonderful. No wrist swivel & the door panels block his hands a bit. That’s really the only downside I can find here. I love the look of this robot, especially the legs!
Conversion is a delight! The feet end up at the front of the vehicle. Everything else crunches in to fill the rest of the car. The little wings lock everything into place. It feels great! Super solid & rolls nicely. I love the sculpted horns on the front of the hood! For me, this is top-tier transformer.
Legacy United Tarantulas (Prototype Deco)! This is a filler character I was not particularly excited for. I’m enjoying this repaint a lot more than I anticipated. Having hands on he is an absolute delight! The heads sculpt is solid. Articulation is great! Plus that orange color scheme is way better than it deserves to be!
Conversion is pretty easy, with some clearance issues. Tuck the arms under & plug them in. Spin the waste around & plug the feet into the underside of the abdomen. This step is pretty challenging due to the limited clearance & can be frustrating. Other than that, it’s pretty straightforward. Alt-mode is absolutely wicked! The bright orange color make this thing look super poisonous. Something in my primal brain doesn’t want me to touch it. Pretty successful, spider mode in my opinion!
Legacy United Squeezeplay! I love that we are still getting these Headmaster characters! I suppose it’s a necessary evil that they bundle these bots in 4-packs. This figure is a super clever retool of Titans Return Mindwipe! Bot-mode looks great! I dig the bright colors & headmaster stats on the chest. Kinda weird they decided to go with colored boxes & removed the lables
Conversion is pretty easy. Alt-mode is a freaky alien beast! I like the pinchy claws and stubby feet. I can’t get enough of the Titan Master gimmick. The play-sets & pilots play pattern is super charming, & always a blast!
Legacy United Cyberverse Universe Tarn! This mold works so great as Tarn. The proportions are excellent. The articulation is top-notch & that face-sculpt knocks it out of the park! The additional colors really break up the solid purple slab. Personally, I could pass on the red accent lines on his face. It is kind of amusing that I just hear him in my head asking me, “why so serious?”
Conversion is straightforward & fun. There are some clearance issues with the chest-plate. Most of the time I end up popping it off. Alt-mode is great, other than severely lacking any sort of wheels. I guess I’ll just have to use my imagination. He does fall into that Cybertron vehicle stereotype with hand sticking out the back. Overall, he’s fantastic! I appreciate the fully rotating tank turret, we don’t see that often enough.
